The female institute of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds courses for learning parts of the Holy Book of Allah.

The Quranic activities held and sponsored by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine are not only for men, but also for women in all categories and ages to benefit from the Quranic bounties of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him). Many courses either inside the holy city of Karbala or outside it was held, including the course hosted by the female Institute of the Holy Quran of the Department of Islamic and humanitarian knowledge affairs, for learning parts of the Holy Book of Allah, according to a systematic training plan developed by the committee supervising these courses to fit with the participants' ages and their ability to learn by heart the holy verses.

These courses aim to consolidate and entrench the Quranic concepts through learning the Holy Quran, its meanings and interpretation, to contribute in spreading the religious awareness.

The program of these courses held under the supervision of teachers who learn Quran and who have passed a test and have the sufficient experience to establish such courses and lessons about the Holy Quran and learning it, supported by the narrations and sayings of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) urging about this matter. The courses include also lessons in jurisprudence, beliefs, ethics and interpretation of some of these verses.

It is to mention that the aim of the Quranic female institute is to spread the religious sciences and especially the Quranic sciences between women, and to contribute to the preparation of a Quranic female generation that is actor to revive the Sunnah of recitation and scientific research in all sciences of Quran. The courses also aim to teach the Holy Book of Allah and its sciences and to work on creating a state of interdependence between the students and the Holy Quran, in belief, in word and in deed, to embody its moral and ethics, and to contribute to the call to the Almighty Allah according to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet and Ahl Al-Bayt (Allah's prayers be upon them).
