The holy shrines of Iraq have concluded on Thursday morning 20th of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1437AH corresponding to the 22nd of September, 2016, the events of the second Cultural week of "Naseem Al-Wilayah" held in the central library in the city of Ahvaz in Khuzstan province in the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the patronage of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the active participation of the two holy shrines of Imam Al-'Askari and Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The closing ceremony has began with verses of the Holy Quran by the reader and Mu'ezzin of the two holy shrines; Sayed Mustafa Al-Ghalibi, followed by the word of Sayed Mohamad Ali Al-Jaza'iri, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Khuzestan province, read on his behalf by Sheikh Sadeq Waseti, who have welcomed at the beginning of his speech the delegations of the holy shrines and all the attendees, congratulating them on the occasion of Eid Al-Ghadeer. He has also thanked the holy shrines for what their efforts during the whole week from organizing celebrations, competitions, lectures, meetings of research, exhibitions of books that all aim to serve the people of this city and contribute to strengthening the ties between them and the holy shrines that represented the thought of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon thm).
Followed by the poem of the representative of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the head of its delegation; Sayed 'Adnan Al-Mussawi, which gave a number of poetic verses that he wrote about the city of Ahvaz as a gift for its people, and the audience was pleased hearing it.
The third participation was the word of the representative of the holy shrine of Imam Al-'Askari (peace be upon him); Mr. 'Aqel Ghabban in which he indicated the purpose of their participation in this cultural week; given the oppression, persecution and bombings from which the Imam Al-'Askari's (p) holy shrine and the city of Samurra have suffered for years. Thus, the Imam Al-'Askari's (p) holy shrine started participating in the celebrations, festivals, cultural weeks and exhibitions in order to highlight the sufferings, the heritage and biographies of the two Imams Al-Hadi and Al-'Askari (peace be upon both of them). Noting the pavilion of the Imam Al-'Askari's (p) holy shrine had brilliant attendance during the seven days of the week and important turnout by the lovers and followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon him) in the city of Ahvaz.
Then Haj Karim Al-Moussawi has participated with Muwashahat and poem verses with his beautiful voice praising the Commander of the Faithful and Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and the poet Abu Yaseen al-Ahvazi has also participated with a poem from th Iraqi folk poetry that has a particular impact on the audience. In conclusion, Sayed Safar from the Shura council has presented a lecture in Persian about Al-Ghadeer occasion for those who are not fluent in Arabic.
The closing word was of the Deputy Secretary-General of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Mr. Afdhal Al-Shami, indicating a set of guidelines that must be introduced and invested in a positive and fruitful way during this great occasion, by being aware of the Al-Ghadeer verses and the different interpretations and changes that have accompanied it, concluding by thanking all who contributed, participated and attended this cultural week; from the holy shrines, people of Ahvaz city and its officials, praying the Almighty to give it more success in the coming years.
On the sidelines of the activities of the last day, there was a withdraw of the winning names of the daily lot for the Ziyarat of the holy shrines in Iraq, and the announcement of the winners of the quiz held by the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). Thus, there is nearly 30 winners who will have the honour to visit the holy shrines in Iraq at the expense of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
It is worth mentioning that the delegations of the holy shrines will continue visiting the areas of Ahvaz to raise the flag of Imam Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
