The holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has received the morning of Thursday 9th of Safar, 1438 AH corresponding to the 10th of November, 2016 for the second year in row the longest Hussayni condolence banner in the world, with a length of 3 km carried by the people of the Diyala province, from scholars, academics, tribe leaders, security officers and fighters of the popular mobilization, and on which many slogans have been written such as: "Labbayka Ya hussayn, Labbayka ya Abbas, Labbayki Ya Zaynab...
The procession of this banner has started from Road of Qibla of the Master of martyrs; Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to enter its holy sanctuary, then the mourners paraded in the area between the two holy shrines chanting Labbayka Ya Hussayn towards the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
During this procession, which was concluded at the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), many words were delivered by religious figures from the Shiite and Sunni Endowments, which have all stressed on the need to be unified and to reject discrimination, promising Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to follow his righteous path, then a condolence Majlis of lamentation was held.
The supervisor of the organization of this banner procession; Sheikh Abd Al-Jalil Al-Zuhairi has stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "It is a great honour that we came to the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) carrying the longest banner of sadness in the world, bringing it from Diyala the city of steadfastness to Karbala the city of martyrdom. Its length is of 3 km with the participation of all sects and origins to be the hope key to unite the ranks and to renounce the division and sectarianism, especially after the victories achieved by the security forces and the popular mobilization to be a beacon that gives them a union force."
