The Iraqi Transport Minister met the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, who has called to find effective solutions to the problem of the visitors' transfer.

The Iraqi Transport Minister; M. Kadhem Finjan Al-Hammami has met with the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and the High Responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi in the outer host complex of the holy shrine on the road Najaf - Karbala.

The minister has briefed Sayed Al-Safi on the overall transportation plan for the visitors of the Arba'een of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and the vehicles and potential prepared by the ministry for this Ziyarat, as well as the obstacles facing the conduct of the plan, mainly the lack and deterioration of the major roads, lack of dedicated spaces for the vehicles' movement and not finding serious alternatives to such problems by the government such as railways and metro and other modern transport means that contribute to the elimination of this intractable problem for the visitors.

Sayed Al-Safi has called at the end of his meeting, the Ministry of Transport and the government to find effective solutions to the problem of the visitors' transfer, which is worsening year after the other, and to find radical solutions commensurate with the increase of the visitors' numbers coming from inside and outside Iraq.

It is to mention that the problem of the transfer of the visitors coming to the Ziyarat of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) is among the unsolved problems, as all the found solutions are temporary as the visitor has to walk several kilometres on foot.
