More than 5600 volunteers participating with their brethren from the employees of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in providing services to the visitors of Arba'een.

More than 5600 volunteers from different Iraqi provinces have participated with the employees of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in providing services to the visitors of Arba'een of Imam Al-Hussayn (Peace be upon him) either inside or outside the holy shrine or in the service complexes along the road leading to the holy city of Karbala.

As the Ziyarat of millions and particularly the Ziyarat Arba'een, witness the flocking of millions of visitors, so the departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine call a number of volunteers to work side by side with the employees of the holy shrine to facilitate the visitors' movement and to provide them with various services especially in the departments that have direct contact with the visitors.

Most of the volunteers belong to known Hussayni bodies and religious institutions, and are tested and recommended by the representatives of the religious authority in those areas, and an identification badge is issued to each volunteer.

They are entrusted during the Ziyarat period to:

1- Contribute in the works of entry and exit of visitors.

2- Contribute to organize the passages of condolence's processions.

3- Provide services at the outer service complexes (Om Al-Baneen (peace be upon her), the outer host complex of the holy shrine, Al-'Alqami, Kulayni and the procession of the two holy shrines.)

4- Contribute in the cleaning works inside and outside the holy sanctuary.

5- Inspect the visitors either in the gates of the holy shrine or in the outer control points.

6- Help in the centres of shoes, bags and mobiles' deposits.

7- Help at the centres of the missing and by giving identification badges to the children and elders.

8- Provide immediate aid inside the holy sanctuary.

9- In addition to other task according to the work of each department.

The volunteers have been dispatched on the department of maintaining order, host, service, human development and planning, processions, religious guidance, relations and the medical detachment.

And it is to note that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has created special places for their accommodation in addition to preparing all they may need during the period of Ziyarat.
