The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine issues for the first time a statement proving scientifically the numbers of visitors walking by day in the Arba'een of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The General Secretary of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has issued a statement about the number of pedestrian visitors during the day only, according to a modern statistic way using control cameras technology, as this statistic is considered as an indicator of the greatness of the largest human gathering in the world, with the largest free services and the largest peaceful gathering in the history and in the world.

And the statement is as follows:

Peace be upon Al-Hussayn, upon Ali son of Al-Hussayn, upon the children of Al-Hussayn and upon the companions of Al-Hussayn (peace be upon them).

Our condolences to Imam Al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) for the anniversary of the Arba'een of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), praying the Almighty Allah to protect the countries of Muslims from all evil and to make the visitors of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn peace be upon him) go back to their countries safe and with accepted deeds, and to write the reward of the Ziyarat to the fighters stationed in the battlefields, as the visitors did definitely not forget them in their supplications.

The holy city of Karbala had the honor to receive the guests and visitors of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in the blessed Ziyarat of millions, and the servants of the holy shrines had the great honor to receive and provide services to the respected visitors. This service has included many activities, including documenting the number of the respected visitors, by installing surveillance cameras specialized in counting visitors walking only on the following three axes (Baghdad-Karbala, Najaf-Karbala, Babylon-Karbala) during the period from the 7th to the 20th of Safar and only during days hours and a bit of night time, because of the lack of lighting that enable detecting with precision the numbers at night time. Noting that we exclude the pedestrians coming from the district of Al-Hussayniya ('ateychi) and the port of road of Karbala -Aid Tamr, and the members of procession stationed in Karbala before this period, the city's citizens and those coming by cars, busses and all kind of vehicles, and also the pedestrians who came before running the counting system on the 7th of Safar.

So, the visitors included in this statistic are only those who came waling on the mentioned axes and during the times mentioned above. The visitors’ number is of (11.210.367) eleven millions, two hundred and ten thousands, and three hundred and sixty seven visitors.

Asking the Almighty Allah to accept from all and to bestow upon us the success for what He loves and pleases Him. Indeed He is All-Hearing and Responsive.
