The opening ceremony, which was attended by the General Secretaries of the two holy shrines, Sayed Ja'far Al-Musawi from the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and Sayeed Mohamad Al-Ashiqar from the holy shrine of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the governor of Karbala, a number of respected Sheikhs and cultural figures, has started with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, and then reading Al-Fatiha in memory of Iraq's martyrs. Followed by the word of the two holy shrines delivered by Sheikh Hamza Al-Fatlawi, in which he stated:
"We celebrate today the birth anniversary of the Master of creatures; the Great Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), and we present the highest congratulations' expressions to our Imam the Master of the Order and Time (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance)." Noting: "The Islamic religion has spread in all parts of the world thanks to the ethics, tolerance, justice, honesty, sincerity and love of the Holy Prophet for the others. Thus we have to mak his birth anniversary a model for us in our lives, by following his path and the right path of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them)."
Adding: "We thank the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and of Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) for holding and sponsoring such blessed festivities, as they are always the first to remind such great occasions of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and also in caring and providing the support to the Mujahideen on the battlefields, and also to the families of the martyrs and th wounded. And I am not exagerating if I say, the two holy shrines have become the major lung through which the Iraqi people breathes."
Followed by the word of the representative of the past servants of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) delivered by Sheikh Kumayl, who stated:
"We congratulate you for the auspicious birth anniversary of the Seal of Prophets and Messengers; the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), who was sent a mercy for the worlds and guidance for all mankind, and whos approach is still the enlightening lantern that illuminates the path of the believers. Therefore, in this blessed day and from the shrine of the grandson of the messenger of humanity; the Master of martyrs Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) we remember the poets and Radood of the holy city of Karbala, as they are those who have borne the flag of the sacred jihad and chanted the Hussayni poesy that pierces hearts, and leaves deep impression and revives emotions, they are the influential elite in the community. May thanks to the officials for paying them tribute in this day."
Then the poet Ali Al-'Ameli from lebanon has delivered a poem about the virtues and qualities of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and of his grandson Imam As-Sadeq (peace be upon him).
Followed by the word of the head of the activities department at the Imam Al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine; Mr. Ali Kadhem Sultan, in which he has presented a brief explanation of the campaign organized for the dedication of steps during the march of the Ziyarat Arba'een to the heroes of the popular mobilization and the security forces, pointing out that the number of the dedicated steps was nearly five billion steps.
Then the general secretaries of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and of Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) have presented the gift of this campaign to the representative of the popular mobilization's body; Sheikh Adel who has stated:
"The Master of Martyrs has founded the school of Jihad and resistance, and today the students of Imam Al-Hussayn have proved that the school of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) is th school of Jihad, sacrifice and redemption in order to make the word of "No God but Allah" high, and for the sake of the security and peace of all the components of the our dear people. These sacrifices and dear shed blood are blessed by these precious steps towards the shrine of the Father of the free ones and the Ka'bah of the revolutionaries. All appreciation for this honor that has no equal, and we promise you that, God willing, to be the protective shield ofr our land, our people and our sanctities."
The ceremony has also included religious stanzas [muwashshahat] about the heroism and sacrifices of the heroes of the popular mobilization and the security forces. And then the ceremony was concluded by paying tribute to the families of the orators, poets and Radoods of the Hussayni Minbar.
