The final artistic touches of the roofing project of the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

After a break of more than two months because of the Ziyarat and visitors' movement during the months of Muharram and Safar, the technical and engineering staff working on the roofing project of the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) have resumed its work to proceed the last part of the final phase for covering the secondary ceilings, the interior decors and the other decorations with mosaic mirrors that are cut ergonomically located in the Qiblah gate of the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which differs in terms of design from the rest parts of the roof because of the specificity of this place.

This, according to the statement of Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh; the Head of Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine -the supervising authority of the implementation of the project- to Al-Kafeel Network adding: "The works are conducted according to the plan developed by the projects' department, and which will be concluded with this part, as it needs greater time and accuracy due to its design and its large surface and because it is higher than the rest of the sanctuary's ceilings. The designing and implementing company "Ard Al-Quds engineering company for constructions" did not spare no effort to complete this project that once finished will make a quantum leap in terms of the architectural design of the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."

Al-Sa'egh has explained: "It is possible now for the visitors of the holy shrine to see with their own eyes the finishing works of the roofing project while being in its final phase. As these works are going on in full swing and all the staff are harnessing all efforts for the completion of this project, which is going in parallel with the rest of works of the horizontal expansion project of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine."

He continued: "The fixed mirrors of this part and other parts are from Belgium and are with high standards, with a thickness of 2 mm, characterized by the stable colour and their resistance to extreme circumstances. The mirrors were cut using CNC technique, and fixed using a special glue that fits with these pieces and the metal on which they are fixed."

It is to mention that the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has entrusted the Ard Quds Contracting Company (an Iraqi company based in the holy city of Karbala) to perform the architectural and construction design of the expansion project of the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) by roofing it, and it was also entrusted to execute all civil works of this project, starting with putting the concrete pillars surrounding the holy shrine passing by all works of electricity, water networks, systems of fire, sound, lighting and the secondary works linked to the mentioned project, as well as the responsibility of the agreement with the foreign companies for the implementation of the iron structure and the glass works in collaboration with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and under the direct supervision of its Department of the Engineering Projects.
