The Institute of Prophets' Heritage of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine embraces a conference with a series of workshops to discuss the reality of education in Iraq.

Under the slogan: "Between the concerns of the present and the future aspirations" the Institute of the heritage of the prophets (peace be upon them) for the electronic Hawza studies belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has started today Friday the 30th of Rabi' Awwal 1438 AH corresponding to the 30th of December, 2016 the first episode of the conference, which was embraced by the mentioned institute, in which the education situation of the country is discussed. The conference was held in the hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) for conferences and seminars by the participation of a delegation from 50 schools represented by one hundred teacher and professor from the Karkh side of Sha'lah.

The conference began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran by the reader Mohamad Habib, following by reading Al-Fatiha in memory of the Iraq's martyrs and then the national anthem of Iraq and the hymn [The pride tune] of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. The High Responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmed al-Safi has delivered his word in which he stated: "You know that every nation is trying to highlight its history through its success either in the past or in the present, giving more importance to those who succeed in this nation, either in the education or heritage, and all modern nations are in this race of creativity and progress in order to demonstrate that they are continuing the success stories of their ancestors..."

Then came the word of the representative of the educational delegation; Mr. Khamis 'Alwan Al-Zughbi speaking about the reality of education in Iraq and its deterioration in the recent period as well as the neglect of the educational institutions by the state officials, explaining: "Instead that the educational process is attractive to the students it has become repulsive the them, attributing it to the economic, social and political conditions of the country. The educational process depends on the school, the teacher, the student, the curriculum and the parents, and because of the neglect of the officials and the shortage of the schools, the schools' problems have increased and the sometimes the students' number in one class may reach 100 students, making the teacher desperate as regardless of his efforts no one can protect him from the abusers, thus we call the supreme authority to intervene for the vote in favour of the protection's law of educational institutions and teachers."

The conference continued by the word of the head of the Institute branch in Sha'lah, in which he said: "All thanks and appreciation from me on behalf of all teachers of Sha'lah district to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the Institute of the Prophets heritage for this solemn initiative, as we need special care for this oppressed city especially in the education field, and I call the High Responsible and those in charge of this project to intervene for the approval of this law as the abuse on teachers is indescribable."

Then came the word of Dr. Mushtaq Abbas Al-Ali; aide in the Department of Education at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in which he has highlighted the positive aspects of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the education field, speaking abou the project of opening the Faculty of Medicine as an example and the infrastructure for this project represented by Al-Kafeel hospital.

The agent of the Supreme authority in Sha'lah city; Sheikh As'ad Al-Zubaydi has said in his word: "We have to create a conscious and serious human, we must build a strong and solid family, and for all of this we have to build in the best way the educational institution."

Sheikh Hussein Al-Turabi; the director of the Institute of the Prophets heritage for the electronic Hawza studies has explained to Al-Kafeel Network: "We have noticed that the education has many problems either from the side of the students, curriculum and teaching body. And this conference is held to discuss these important matters with the teachers, as currently there are some schools of a capacity of 500 students are embracing 2000 students, which is crippling the educational process in Iraq. Thus, the education in this country has gone to private schools which is expensive solution for many of the needy families that cannot pay the private schools costs. This conference was the first held by the institute in the Karkh district, and the second conference will be in Rusafa, God willing."
