Aid convoy operated by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to the popular mobilization and security forces and confirms its continuing support to the heroes of Iraq, who are on the battlefield.

Based on the guidance of the supreme religious authority urging on the support of the security forces and the heroes of the popular mobilization to stand at its side while it is engaged amidst a war against the terrorist gangs of ISIL in order to liberated the looted territories of Iraq, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has directed an aid convoy to the stationed forces in the operations' districts of Himrin and Mak'hool, which are part of many continuous convoys sent to the battlefront to support the fighters of the popular mobilization and the security forces.

The member of the visiting delegation from the Department of Religious Affairs at the holy shrine; Sheikh Haydar Al-'Aridhi, has explained: "The aid convoy comes within a plan prepared by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to support the security forces and the popular mobilization in order to sustain the battle momentum and to support morally and materially these heroes, and this is the fifth or the sixth visit to this area to provide them with the winter supplies due to the rain and cold wave, which is the most important thing that the combatant needs under these conditions. The aid includes blankets, clothes, medications and foodstuffs as well as a blessing gifts from the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."

And he added: "Our support was not limited to providing aid but we have also spoken with the heroes to urge them to carry on the fight, recalling them the recommendations of the supreme religious authority as well as the honour and great status they have, and that these aids are nothing face to their steadfastness and sacrifices, as we have found them despite all the harsh weather conditions having the high heroism and Jihadi spirit and their hearts are filled with faith and patriotism. We have conveyed to them the greetings of the officials and staffs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and praying at the same time for their victory."

Al-'Aridhi has also explained: "The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is continuing to provide the support to the heroes of Iraq, who are stationed on the battlefield in the various operations' districts, and who are sacrifices all they have in order to protect Iraq from the terrorist groups and the criminal ISIL gangs, and we will stand along until the liberation of the last inch of the soil of this dear homeland."

The fighters have thanked the great efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and its constant and continuous visits to deliver the aid and to provide them with the great support... Stressing on their steadfastness to continue their victories until the final and complete victory to purify the land of Iraq from the impurity of these criminal gangs.

It is to note that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is keen to send food assistance and in-kind convoys to all the military operations' districts to support the security forces and the popular mobilization in addition to forming and ad hoc committee to support the martyrs families and to follow up the wounded situations.
