The team of "Doctors without wages" visits the province of Dhi Qar to provide its free medical and therapeutic services, and stresses that any doctor or nurse can participate in it.

After its tour in several cities in the provinces of Karbala and Qadisiyah, the team of "Doctors without wages" project adopted by Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has visited the province of Dhi Qar, specifically in the areas and villages located between Dhi Qar and Wasit, to provide its medical and therapeutic services.

The Director General of the Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital; Dr. Haydar Al-Bahadli has explained: "Given the achievements, the positive results, the humanitarian goals of this project, the hospital's management led by the Secretariat General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has decided to expand the circle of its free medical and therapeutic services according to a time and place schedule developed by the hospital's management in coordination with the deputies of those areas after conducting a field survey of each region, through which the places where the treatment will be given are determined in addition to the categories and diseases suffered in each region. And this is what was conducted in the province of Dhi Qar in the same context carried out in the rest of provinces."

He added: "The team, which consisted of local and global doctors, has examined and diagnosed nearly 400 patients from the people of the area. The medical and therapeutic services were provided free of charge, including the eye tests and diagnose of the ophthalmological diseases in addition to the examination of children and providing the treatment for free, as well as the examination of diseases of internal medicine for the adults and providing them with the necessary treatment for each case, in addition to being accompanied by a nursing staff to treat the wounds and diabetic foot and to provide some treatments to the patients who suffer from diabetes wounds."

Dr. Al-Bahadli also explained: "The doors of this projects are opened for everyone who wants to participate either from the doctors or nurses by through reviewing the Division of relations in the hospital or by calling the following number: (07602346009)."

The project has seen a big turnout and of a great praise by the people of this region which was really in need of such services.

It is to note that the project of "Doctors without wage", which was launched in the holy city of Karbala, aims to:

First: Check the pathological cases in the areas that suffer shortages in the presence of medical centres.

Second: Prescribing the appropriate treatment and giving it under the supervision of specialist doctors.

Third: Contributing to alleviate the burden on citizens' health.

Fourth: Educating medically the residents of these areas and giving them medical instructions.

Fifth: Referring the incurable cases to the hospital and supervising to give them the appropriate treatment after diagnosis.

Sixth: Seeing in the field the pathologies of the patients in these areas to find suitable treatments.
