In cooperation with the Holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the researchers of the seventh Iraqi - Japanese International conference continue their research sessions.

The second day of the seventh Iraqi - Japanese International conference was launched on Tuesday morning the 25th of Rabi' Thani 1438 AH corresponding to the 24th of January 2017, held under the slogan "The role of Religious scholars and intellectuals in the consolidation of the national identity in Iraq and Japan" set up by the Faculty of Letters - University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the Iraqi university along with the Universities of Kufa, Karbala and Bayt Hikmah.

This research session held in the hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him), has started with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, with the presence of academics and researchers from several Iraqi universities, as well as an academic delegation of the Japanese universities, in addition to the Japanese ambassador in Iraq; Mr. Fumio Iwai, as well as the delegation that represented the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Sayed Adnan Al-Musawi has delivered the opening word in the name of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in which he welcomed the Japanese delegation and the participants of this conference.

Followed by the word of Baghdad University, delivered by its President Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussayn Abd Al-Rasul, in which he has stated that the role of the religious scholars to interact with the academics is a fundamental phenomenon that is to link the Islamic concepts to the scientific ones, and that the participation of the Japanese guests is to gather around a greater identity that is the human identity advocated by Islam.

Then came the word of Karbala University, delivered by its President Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Saadi, who highlighted that the message of Islam came for the respect all humankind and works on their unity...

Afterward, the Dean of the Faculty of Letters at Baghdad University; Prof. Dr. Salah Al-Jaberi has explained to the attendees that the aim of this conference is to serve the scientific, intellectual and cultural movement of Iraqi universities and to expand the cooperation between the Iraqi universities through multiple scientific activities...

Indicating that there are 17 participating research presented by researchers from Iraqi and Japanese universities, discussed in 4 sessions."

The participating universities from Japan are Chiba University, Kyushu University, Waseda University and Tokyo University. The research are presented according to a schedule set by the supervising committee, and the participants had a tour in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, then the morning session was concluded by honoring the participating researchers.
