For the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Department of the Hussayni Rites and Processions opens the ninth Fatimi sorrows season.

Under the auspices of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and of Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), the Department of the Hussayni Rites and Processions in Iraq and the Muslim world, has opened on Saturday the 6th of Jumada Al-Ula 1438 AH corresponding to the 4th of February 2017 in the area between the two holy shrine, the ninth Fatimi sorrows season to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Immaculate Lady Fatima Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and that will last ten days.

The opening, which was attended by a number of the officials of the holy shrine and the respected visitors, has begun with the recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran followed by a religious lecture presented by Sheikh Aamer al-Karbala'i from the Department of Religious Affairs at the holy shrine, in which he has spoken about the life of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the calamities and misfortunes she has faced after the death of her father; the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household). Then A Hussayni Radood ascended the pulpit to deliver an elegy about the tragedy of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her). The opening has also included an event of free drawing for the students of the Al-'ameed Schools group, in which the little ones has embodied in their paintings the grief and calamities of Lady Fatima Az-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The Deputy head of the Department of Hussayni rites and procession; Mr. Mazen Al-Wazani, has explained to Al-Kafeel Network the following: "Under the guidance of both High Responsible of two holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and of Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), the Department of the rites and processions started re-establishing all special activities related to the occasions of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), which used to be held in the past years, and which were prevented by the former regime, including the Fatimi sorrows season that we held every year in the area between the two holy shrines, and which events were opened yesterday, starting by the Panorama exhibition that shows the life stages of Our Lady Fatima Az-Zahra (peace be upon her) in an influential way, as we united the visual to the audios, including the house of grief, her sermon, Hadith Al-Kisaa, Mubahala event. This exhibition was added recently by the department of the two holy shrines in collaboration with the rest of the holy shrine's departments."

He added: "The sorrows season, which will last ten days, includes also establishing obituaries on a daily basis inside the two holy shrines and the area between the two holy shrines. And there will be a unified procession of the people of Karbala takin place on the 14th of Jumada Ula and ladies condolences procession, in which the believing ladies will participate to commemorate the tragedy of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), in addition to the participation of a number of Latm and Zinjeel processions from several provinces."

It is worth mentioning that the Department of Hussayni rites and processions held each year the Fatimi sorrows season in the area between the two holy shrines, and which last ten days including many condolences activities starting by the Panorama exhibition to the condolences' Majlis, obituaries and the participation of the Hussayni processions.
