The students of Iraqi Universities and Institutes present their condolences to Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) on the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima Az-Zahra (peace be upon her).

As usual in every year, to present the condolences to Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) for the martyrdom anniversary of Our Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), more than 3000 students from various Iraqi universities and institutes have participated within the cultural project for the youth of Iraq in a unified condolence procession, held in coordination with the Division of university relations within the activities of the Al-Kafeel youth national project adopted by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The launch of the procession was from the road of Qibla of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), entering the holy sanctuary then marching between the masses of believers in the area between the two holy shrines, chanting elegies expressing grief and mourning over this great tragedy, then arriving to the shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) where the condolence majlis was held, in which the students have raised Iraqi flags to express their attachment to their homeland and as a sign of their unity and cohesion.

Mr. Maher Khaled from the Department of public relations at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine -Division of university relations- has stated: "Al-Kafeel youth national project includes within its annual agenda of cultural and intellectuals activities, some of which is held in the universities and institutes and others are set up in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. Among those activities the condolences procession aiming to recall the misfortunes, oppression and tragedies of the Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them). And these students are used every year to gather in a condolence procession to renew the pledge and covenant at the shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) promising them to always follow the path of the beloved daughter of the Great Prophet, the apple of his eyes; Lady Fatima Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and making the commemoration of this tragedy a beacon that enlighten their life's path."

The student Ahmad Abd Latif from Baghdad University added: "It is a good move from the managers of these events and activities, which a mean of communication of the students with their Imams (peace be upon them). And this activity coincides with the victories of our security and popular mobilization forces, so it is an opportunity to support them while they are engaged in the liberation war of Iraq's land."

The student Sattar Ahmad from Basrah University has also stated: "Our participation in this condolence procession gives us great motivation to lift our spirits, through remembering the positions of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in general and the sufferings and oppression of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), as all the sufferings of Iraq are an extension of the misfortunes of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and in particular the tragedy of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her)."

It is to mention that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine as usual in every year, has started receiving the processions of Fatimi sorrows from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala, as the condolence processions come to present the condolences to her sons Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them). The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared a special program for the performance of the rituals of this occasion from organizing and receiving the mourners and preparing the pulpits from the preachers who are presenting religious lectures to show on this occasion the greatness of this person and the misfortunes that she has to face after the martyrdom of her father the Great Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household).
