Clerics praise the role of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in the conservation and revival of the heritage.

A number of clerics have praised the role played by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in the conservation and revival of the Islamic heritage, working on highlighting it properly. This tribute came during the visits done by the delegation of the Department of Islamic and human knowledge Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, head by Sheikh Ammar Al-Hilali along with the directors of heritage centre in Karbala, Basra and Hilla, and the Associate of the Department, and a group of clergy in the Republic of Iran, in order to open up prospect of mutual cooperation, and introducing the publications of the holy shrine in this field.

These meetings began with the meeting of Sayed Jawad al-Shahristani, the absolute agent for the supreme religious authority Sayed Ali al-Sistani, who has affirmed during the meeting that the Aal-Bayt Foundation for heritage of the Office of the supreme religious authority, that are thirty foundations in the service of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and which gates are opened for joint action.

The delegation has met also with the Eminence Sayed Ahmed al-Madadi, who stated: "The cultural and intellectual enlightenment movement in Iraq in the last period is very prosperous, and this is a valued opportunity that must be seized to highlight the Islamic heritage, calling for the expansion of the work at world scale level."

As for His Eminence Sayed Shabeeri Zinjani during his meeting with the delegation, has praised the achievements of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the field of heritage conservation, and praised the efforts of the workers in this field, and wished that they continue the progress."

Sayed Ahmed Ashkouri has confirmed that this generation should conserve their rich Islamic heritage, and spoke about the subject of reviving heritage in Islamic countries, down to the desired goals, and that is why the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has established the heritage conservation centres.

During these visits, the delegation has given detailed illustration about the work of the Department of knowledge and the efforts to revive the manuscripts in Iraq, at the same time, his Eminence was given a range of publications of the Department including the Holy Quran that was made and printed by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

It is to note that this visit aims to open channel for cooperation and join action, and seeing what is produced by the institutions that were visited and the creation of joint work mechanisms for the benefit of both sides, and on the other hand to introduce the work of the Department and the support of the intellectual and cultural activities in various areas.
