The Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad has liberated Damerji village southern Badush area with the support of the ninth Armored Division.

The troops of the Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad continues their military progress in the right coast of Mosul within the operation "We are coming, Nineveh", and the knights of the Squad were able on Tuesday 1st of Jumada al-Ula 1438 AH corresponding to the 28th of February, 2017, with support of the ninth Armored Division of the valiant Iraqi army to liberate fully Damerji village southern Badush area, raising the Iraqi flag over its government buildings after fierce battles resulting heavy losses in lives and equipment in the enemy side.

The Squad's Leadership has announced earlier taking full control over the right and left 'Atshana hills, after fierce battles that lasted for hours, waged by the forces against the terrorist ISIL gangs, causing losses in their lives and equipment.

It is to note that the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) fighting squad in this part of the liberation’s battle of Mosul comes as a result of the skills and military expertise field of its fighters during a series of liberation battles in which they participated along with their fellow fighters from the popular mobilization forces, the army, the federal police and the rest of the other forces.
