The Secretariat of the shrine of the companion Maitham al-Tammar (God bless him) announces the opening date of the new grid of his holy sanctuary.

Within the celebrations of the birth anniversary of the Immaculate Lady Fatima Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Secretariat of the shrine of the loyal companion who was crucified under the palm in Kufa for the sake of his love for Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon both of them); Maitham ibn Yahya al-Tammar (God bless him) announces the opening date of the new grid of his holy sanctuary, which will be on the 18th of Jumada al-Thaniya 1438 AH corresponding to the 17th of March, 2017 in his holy shrine.

al-Tammar is Abu Salem Maitham son of Yahya Kufi Nahrawani, a seller of dates in Kufa, that is why he was called "Tammar". Maitham al-Tammar was a virtuous man who was taught the knowledge of deaths and tribulations, and he was from the closest disciples of the Commander of the Faithful Ali ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon them), who taught him many hidden secrets of knowledge and commandment, making him have a great status that the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) reminded him many times in his night prayers, and recommended Imam Ali (Allah's prayers be upon him) about him, which is a solid proof of the great status and bounty of Maitham (God bless him).
