A delegation of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine arrives to Mosul to visit the fighting troops.

In confirmation of the importance of communication and to sustain the momentum of the battle as a national, religious and moral duty to cleanse Iraq from the terrorist groups, and in compliance with the recommendations of the supreme religious authority to provide the support to the fighters, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues its visits to the military troops stationed in the battlefield since the launch of the blessed fatwa of the supreme religious authority up to today, in order to provide them with the material and logistic support according to an agenda previously prepared.

The last visit was of a delegation headed by the Deputy head of the Department of Religious Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine' Sheikh Adel al-Wakeel with a number of Sayeds and Sheikhs in addition to the employees of the shrine, to visit the operations districts within the operations district for the liberation of Mosul, and has included the forces of army, police and popular mobilization factions.

Sheikh Adel al-Wakeel has explained: "Under the guidance of His Eminence the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the delegation headed to the fronts of our heroes in Nineveh District, where the battles are fierce against the criminal ISIL gangs, so the least we can do is to visit them and support them. This visit aims to raise the morale of the fighters who already have high spirits and strong faith, in addition to provide them with the logistic support that included all factions of the popular mobilization. And in fact, all fighters have loyalty to the homeland and the religion, and fortitude to stand against the varmint ISIL. So, we ask the Almighty Allah to bestow upon us a soon victory, and God willing this black cloud will disappear soon from the sky of Iraq."

On the sidelines of this visit, the delegation had several meetings with the security leaderships, most notably the Iraqi defense minister, Irfan al-Hayali, the Commander of operations "We are coming, Nineveh" Lt. Gen. Rashid Yarallah, the Commander of the anti-terrorism body; Lt. Gen. Abd al-Ghani al-Asdi and the Commander of the second elite, Maj. Gen. Ma'n al-Sa'di. The delegation was briefed on the progress of the operations and the achievements on the ground, praising the efforts exerted by all the popular mobilization fractions and the security forces in achieving the last victories over the terrorists.
