The place: The sanctuary of the Moon of Bani Hashem; Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The event: A Quranic evening and the closing event of the fourth day of the International Cultural Festival of Martyrdom Spring held under the slogan "Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) a continuous rain and an ongoing flood" with the participation of 35 Arab, Islamic and international countries from various communities and ethnicities.
In this blessed Quranic evening, the reader Haidar Jalokhan, the reader Ahmed Abd al-Hay from Egypt, the reader Falah Zulif and Hafiz Ali Reda from Afghanistan and the reader Sayed Saeed Moslim from Egypt have presented beautiful recitations of the Holy Book, as well as Sayed Karim al-Musawi who has chanted religious Stanzas [Muwashahat] about the love of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The evening has also included honoring the teachers of al-Murtadha courses held by the Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as well as the best ten readers in the same courses, in addition to honoring the winners in the Iran international recitation competition.
For his part, Sayed 'Aqeel al-Yasiri the member of the Preparatory Committee for the thirteenth International Cultural Festival of martyrdom spring, has stressed: "The Preparatory Committee of the festival was keen to establish two Quranic evenings with the participation of the elite of readers from inside and outside Iraq, in order to support and disseminate the Quranic culture in the society, by taking advantage of this international cultural event. And it is a seeking way to strengthen the Quranic project adopted by the two holy shrines through their institutes and Quranic centers, as the Islamic community in this time in which it is undergoing many crises, is in dire need of spreading the divine culture and teachings of the holy Quran."
