Dear brothers and sisters, I would like to draw your attention to the following:
On the eve of the next Friday (the eve of the mid Sha'ban) this blessed night coincides with the birth anniversary of the awaited al-Hujjah Ibn al-Hassan (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), a great occasion in which the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) express their joys and pleasure. And in which many of them will perform the rituals of the Ziyarat of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) here in the holy city of Karbala. And there is also another occasion on the that day; the call of the supreme religious authority on the fourteenth of Sha'ban in 1435 AH (three years ago) to those who can bear arms to join the armed forces for the defense of the land, people and sanctities of Iraq, in front of the criminal attack of the ISIL gangs, after which hundreds of thousands of old and young men have rushed to perform this great task. And so, it is worth mentioning the following two points:
First: We extend our thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the dear fighters of the counterterrorism forces, the rapid reaction brigade and the army in all categories, the federal police and the volunteers of the popular mobilization fractions, for the great sacrifices they have made and the great patriotism heroism to protect Iraq and rid it of the abomination of ISIL terrorism, while they are liberating these days the remaining parts of the province of Nineveh. And we call for more coordination and collaboration between the various forces participating in the fighting, to quickly liberate the last parts of this dear province, which had paid high price because of the crimes of the terrorist gangs. We know that they are making great sacrifices in order to protect as much as possible the lives of civilians, who were taken by the ISIL gangs as human shields, but they have to know that these dear sacrifices will not be in vain but will form a solid foundation for the unity of this country and its people God willing.
Second: I would like to draw the attention of the celebrants on the occasion of the blessed birth anniversary of the Eve of mid Sha'ban to recall that the fateful battle being waged by our people and fighters of the armed forces and the volunteers supporting them, has caused many martyrs and wounded and has left a growing number of widows, orphans and bereaved mothers, and also caused the displacement of large numbers of the citizens outside their cities and villages. Hence, the joy and celebrations held for this occasion should be within the limits of these exceptional circumstances of our country. The celebrants should not forget their fellow fighters, without whose sacrifices, the joys would have been sorrowful. So, they have to dedicate part of their sermons and chants to glorify them, to pay tribute to their heroism and their continuous march of sacrifice and redemption until the final victory with the help of the Almighty God. Also, it is a duty on everyone to devote some of their attention and money to support the fighters on the fronts, and take care of the displaced, orphans and widows, and seeking to do more of the works that make them close to God.
We as the Almighty God to grant us success and accept our deeds, to hasten the final victory. And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and Allah's prayers and peace be upon Mohammad and upon his pure and virtuous lineage.
