The Ice Factory of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, provide the service processions and the visitors with thousands of ice blocks.

As temperatures increase, the demand for ice is increasing to quench the thirst of the visitors heading to the Ziyarat of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), and in order to provide them with cold water, the ice factory of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has provided the service processions and the visitors with large quantities of ice blocks, distributed by the Division of distributing water of the Department of service affairs, which in turn allocated groups of its employees for this purpose.

The distribution was done according to a work plan developed by the division commensurate with the numbers of the visitors and the roads they are using, as mobile refrigerators and special vehicles were allocated for this work.

On the other hand, the al-Kafeel plant for the production of water has sent its trucks to supply the processions with large quantities of mineral waters, reaching tens of thousands of boxes during the Ziyarat period, as well as some of the processions that come directly to the plant to provide them water.

It is worth mentioning that the Ice Factory of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is part of a series of service projects that serve the visitors and those coming to the Ziyarat of the holy shrines in Karbala in particular, and for the people of the province in general. It is an integrated factory for the production of pure ice (R.O) with a modern production line with high energy and efficiency. It is located in the Complex of Al-Saqqa 2 (stores of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine) on the road (Babel - Karbala).
