The Supervisory Committee on the National Quranic Competition for teams honors the orphans of the martyrs of the popular mobilization.

Coinciding with the month of the Almighty God and to show the gratitude to the martyrs who have responded to the call of the supreme religious authority to defend the land of Iraq and its sanctities, and within the framework of the directions of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in fulfilling the rights of the martyrs who have sacrificed their most precious for the protection of this homeland, the supervising committee of the third national Quranic competition for teams held currently in the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has held a honoring session for the orphans of the popular mobilization in compliance with the directives of the supreme religious authority to glorify the martyrs of the nation.

The Director of the Institute of the Holy Quran and the supervisor of this competition; Sheikh Jawad al-Nasrawi has explained: "In the holy month of Ramadan we live in the atmosphere of faith and spirituality in the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), performing all worship acts in peace thanks to the Almighty's kindness and attention and to the blood shed for the sake of this country to provide the security and stability to the Iraqis and to cleanse the Iraqi cities from the profanity of the ISIL gangs."

And he added: "This honoring session is a confirmation that we will never forget the martyrs, and this initiative from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the Institute of the Holy Quran has the aim to make the orphans who lost their breadwinners in the fields of honor that there are who care for them, and that what we offer to the martyrs' orphans today is nothing when compared to the sacrifices of their fathers."

It is noteworthy that the honoring session is held daily at the end of the competition, by the Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Mohamad al-Ashiqar and the members of its Board of Directors in addition to the heads of Departments and the committee supervising the competition.
