Dhi Qar team is the winner of the third national Quranic Competition for teams.

To coincide with the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), the closing ceremony of the third edition of the national Quranic competition for teams held by the Center of the preparation of readers and Hafiz at the Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine on Friday evening the 13th of the month of Ramadan 1438 AH corresponding to the 9th of June 2017 at the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with the participation of 24 teams from various Iraqi provinces.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Mohamad al-Ashiqar, a number of members of its Board of Directors, the heads of its departments and a group of visitors. Dhi Qar team was ranked first represented by the reader Is'haq Kadhem, the Hafiz Abd al-'Adhim Abd al-Hussayn and the interested teacher of interpretation Mr. Mohamad Kamel, face to the team of Karbala represented by the reader Abd Allah al-Hussayni, the Hafiz Mustafa Sa'doon and the interested teacher of interpretation Hamza Dakhil.

It is to note that the Quranic competition for teams was launched on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, and was broadcasted by Al-Furat satellite channel. This competition comes within the Quranic activities of the Holy Quran Institute during the holy month with the participation of many teams from different Iraqi provinces.
