The al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine sends an aid convoy to support the popular mobilization forces at the Iraqi-Syrian border.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continues to send aid convoys in support of the security forces and the popular mobilization forces in the various districts. This time, the convoy landed at the Iraqi-Syrian border, where the knights of the popular mobilization are stationed to protect this border line after liberating it from the desecration of the ISIL terrorist gangs.

This convoy is part of several convoys sent by the committee of guidance and moral and logistical support at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to sustain the momentum of the battle and to contribute to fill a part of their needs.

The head of the delegation of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine of this convoy; Sheikh Haydar al-'aredhi has stated: "Based on the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority to provide all support to the forces defending the national unity and their fight against the ISIL terrorist gangs, and as part of the moral duty of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the aid convoy was sent to visit the fighter and see their conditions."

He added: "The convoy carried aid from various food and in-kind aids distributed to the fighters of the popular mobilization forces that protect the wall line of Iraqi-Syrian border. We have also met the Mujahideen stationed in the area of Sinjar and Ba'aj. This distribution operation was accompanied by moral speeches to renew the high fighting spirit in them and urge them to steadily stand in the face of ISIL gangs, which is the tradition of the Department of Religious Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine."

Sheikh al-'aredhi has also stated: "Despite all the harsh weather conditions and its fluctuation, we have found men who do not care about these conditions, but their only concern is to keep the soil of this land protected."

The fighters of the popular mobilization have in turn praised the initiative of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and expressed their appreciation for its permanent presence on the fronts of the fighting. Stressing at the same time that such initiative will raise their morale and their determination to achieve the victory.

It is to note that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is keen to send convoys of food and in-kind aid to all the divisions of military operations in support of the security forces and the popular mobilization in addition to form a special committee to honor their martyrs' families and to follow-up the condition of their wounded.
