The Prevention Unit of the Service Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine carries out an extensive campaign to combat insects, rodents and agricultural pests using different types of pesticides to eliminate harmful insects and rodents. The campaign included all the establishments, its departments, the visitors' cities, al-Kafeel Hospital and other establishments.

The Director of the Prevention Unit of the services' affairs Department; Mr. Hamid Hussayn, spoke to the al-Kafeel Network about this campaign and the prevention materials used in this campaign: "As you know, harmful insects and rodents have a breeding season and are very widespread in summer. Therefore, the Prevention Unit carried out extensive and comprehensive campaigns to all departments of the holy shrine, either inside the holy shrine or those outside, in order to maintain the safety of the property and control it periodically and continuously using various types of pesticides. The works of the unit is divided into groups such as: The group of combating termite, a group of combating rodents and a group of combating Plant Pests."

It is noteworthy that the Prevention Unit of the Department of Service Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has carried out many campaigns to combat insects and rodents, which are active in the summer, using various types of pesticides to reduce the spread and and to eliminate it.
