I want to be a martyr now! A story of a seventy-years-old Mujahid with Sayed Ahmad al-Safi.

A story proving the great contribution of the sons of this land in order to defend the homeland and its sanctities. The representative of the supreme religious authority in Karbala; His eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi has stated in the second sermon of Friday prayer of the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1438 AH, corresponding to the September 1st, 2017, a position of an old Iraqi man fill with courage and heroism, who preferred to give his five sons as martyrs in the field of honor:

Sayed al-Safi said: “I have met a 70 years old man who told me: "I am seventy years old and I have five sons all on the front lines. And I would like to ask you only one thing: Please pray so I die martyr!!" This old man has a high level of awareness as he knows what martyrdom means as when we prayed saying: May Allah give him martyrdom after a long life, he refused the last part of the prayer, he wanted the martyrdom right now, and he insisted many times until we prayed for his martyrdom now.”
