The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine hosts a group of orphans, and its secretary-general urging to take care of them and focus on their future.

The Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Engineer Mohammad al-Ashigar, urged the relevant authorities to take care of the orphans, especially in the educational and cultural aspects, so they can achieve success and overcome the psychological state the orphan lives.

These were the important points he said during a meeting with a group of orphans of the charity Foundation of Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him) in the province of Karbala, after they had the blessings of eating a meal at the Host restaurant of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on Sunday the 11th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1438 AH corresponding to the 3rd of September 2017.

And he added: "This segment of the society is becoming larger with time because of the scourge and calamities in this country, which requires a serious pause to work on helping the foundations that take care of them."

There was also an instructive lecture of Sayed Adnan al-Musawi from the religious affairs department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in which he said: "You know that the issue of education is the responsibility of the father and mother, with a specificity of the mother as she is closer to her children, and when the father is dead she has all the responsibility on her shoulder..."

Sayed Adnan al-Musawi has also spoken about the rights of orphans and preservation of their money and to not dispose of their rights in all areas as stated in the Holy Quran."

Sayed Fadel al-Hussayni, head of the charity foundation of Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him) spoke to al-Kafeel Network: "There are more than 450 orphans families in the institution, that we seek to fill their financial needs through giving them monthly salaries and diversified food products, in addition to the educational and developmental aspect through lectures and lessons given to the orphans, as they are the fruitful tree of a future cultivated and committed society. The Foundation's orphans are used to have the honor of visiting the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and meeting its officials annually on the second day of Eid al-Adha. The visit includes a lunch and distribution of Eid gifts after performing the rituals of the ziyarat of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). And this is not the first time the orphans are honored by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, but they are in continuous communication with them and eager to bring them happiness and sharing with them their joys."

The orphans and their families have expressed their happiness for this initiative held by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in these blessed days.

It is to note that this initiative comes within the framework of the ambitious and serious work of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to promote the cultural level of the orphans and to contribute to their social rehabilitation and help to overcome some of the psychological conditions they suffer because of their orphanhood.
