Completion of preparations for the Second International al-Kafeel Conference for Museums.

The committees supervising the convening of the second edition of the International al-Kafeel Conference for the Museums, which will be launched Thursday 15th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1438 AH corresponding to the September 7, 2017 and which will continue for two consecutive days, have announced the completion of all preparations.

The conference, which will be held under the theme "Museums of Civilization and Economy" by the al-Kafeel Museum for valuables and manuscripts at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine at the hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) for conferences and seminars at the holy shrine and with the participation and presence of researchers and specialists in the Museums field from inside and outside Iraq. 15 research will be presented in three sessions during the conference.

The conference program will include:

First: The opening will be at 9:30 next Thursday, with the word of the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and of the Ministry of Culture, and a word of the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and of the participating delegations, followed by the word of the head of the al-Kafeel Museum Department followed by a tour in the Museum.

Second: An evening session of research will be at 2 pm, in which 6 researches will be presented.

Third: A morning session of research will be held on Friday morning at 9 am, also with the presentation of 6 researches.

Fourth: An evening session of research will be held at 3 pm with the presentation of 3 researches.

Fifth: The closing will on Friday afternoon at 4 pm.

On the other hand, al-Kafeel Center for artistic production and live broadcast at the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine will broadcast in clean feed the opening of the conference, according to the following data:

It is to note that the conference is part of a series of conferences and specialized activities sponsored and held by the holy shrine to open a window for communication and exchange of experiences among museums, specialists and artists in the world of modern and contemporary art, as it will be attended by an elite of researchers, specialists and officials of museums from inside and outside Iraq and it aims to:

First: Preservation of the cultural and civilization heritage.

Second: Supporting religious institutions to establish specialized museums and develop the museum work.

Third: Opening up and developing cooperation with local and international museums' institutions.

Fourth: Develop the performance of the museums' work to enhance the media and economic knowledge of the museum.
