The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad strengthens its forces in the vicinity of Balad and Dujayl and the commander of operations Samarra praises the courage of its fighters.

After the recent security repercussions witness in Balad district and the misguided attacks of the ISIL terrorist gangs, the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad strengthened its forces in the vicinity of the districts of Balad and Dujayl and within the operations' district of Samarra to support its forces stationed there and the security forces and the Iraqi army.

These reinforcements included the elite regiment, the commando regiment and the armored regiment, as well as the force already stationed there from the regiments of Balad and Dujayl.

The Squad leadership stressed the importance of maintaining the security and safety of citizens and protecting the strategic road (Baghdad / Samarra), as well as preserving the gains of previous victories and protecting from any desperate attempts of the ISIL terrorists to find alternative places after their defeat in Nineveh province.

On the other hand, during the inspection visit by the Commander of Operations Samarra; Major General Imad al-Zuhairi to the areas of the deployment of the Squad forces, he praised the courage and bravery of the fighters of the Squad and their good dealing with the security authorities.

It is noteworthy that the Squad fighters have launched a large-scale search and raid in cooperation with the security forces and the army aviation to hunt down the terrorist ISIL gangs in the orchards and areas adjacent to the outer perimeter of Balad district.

It is worth mentioning that the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad has an integrated brigade, which main mission is to participate in the fortification of the first security cordon of Balad city and the shrine of Sayed Mohammad (peace be upon him), in addition to the duties and tasks assigned by the Joint Operations and Operations Command in the districts of Balad and Dujayl.
