For the first in nine years: The association of al-Zahra (peace be upon her) is preparing to represent the tragedy of al-Taf on the holy land of Karbala.

Receiving the holy month of Muharram, the association of al-Zahra (peace be upon her) of the Hussayni processions in the Diwaniyah province started preparing the revival of the Hussayini rites through representing the tragedy of al-Taf for the first time on the holy land of Karbala on the 12th of the holy month of Muharram 1439 AH, on the road Najaf - Karbala, after it was held in the Ghammas city 9 years ago. The choice of the date was based on the fact that the first ten days of the holy month of Muharram is special to the people of Karbala who provide the services to the visitors.

The preparation of this "artistic work" rituals was with the presence of a delegation from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and the Islamic researcher Dr. Majid Faraj Allah has presented a word in which he talked about the dimensions and values of the revolution of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and how it was able to end the rule of the oppressors who harnessed everything for their despicable purposes that are against the simplest concepts and moral values.

Haj Hadi 'Atshan Simran; head of the service association of al-Zahra (peace be upon her), talked about the preparations of this representation stating: "The association of al-Zahra (peace be upon her) is preparing to represent the tragedy of al-Taf on the holy land of Karbala during the holy month of Muharram and which embodies oppressing Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and his companions and what happened to them on the tenth of Muharram in the year 61 AH."

"The work has been ongoing for more than six months after taking the fundamentalist approvals from the province of Karbala and the Hussayni processions Department of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), starting from equipping the tents to the metalwork and training cadres. We have started working in the Ghammas city for more than fourteen consecutive years, and this year we thought to play the representative scene on the holy land of Karbala, the land of purity, martyrdom and holiness."

For his part, the Hussayni preacher; Sayed Ali Abu Ghunayma, one of the responsible of the execution of this work, has stated: "The number of military personnel we have prepared to represent this incident in the holy city of Karbala is of 1200 soldiers of the Umayyad army, and 30 to 35 soldiers to represent the supporters of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), in addition to a group of women and children."

Regarding the texts preparations, he indicated: "The prepared texts were revised by a group of scholars and researchers in the city of Najaf."
