A few hours before the announcement of the season of mourning and sorrow.

After few hours, the red blessed flags of the holy domes of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) will be replaced by the black ones to mark the beginning of the month of sorrows; the holy month of Muharram, the month of the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of the Holy Prophet and his family and companions (Allah's prayers be upon them), and within the preparations of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the rituals of this night, the central courtyard overlooking the gate of Qibla of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was prepared to host it, where decorations were installed for the platform.

The replacement rituals of the dome's flag of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) will include the word of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and of the head of the Shiite Endowment and offering the condolences flag to one of the Iraqi provinces and then performing the rituals to replace the red flag with the black flag of the holy dome of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). The rituals will include a special lamentation.

It is noteworthy that these rituals and condolences rites are held since 2004 to announce the month of grief from Karbala, the capital of Hussayni rites.
