Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad: In a record time, we achieved all our goals in the battle to liberate al-Huwayja.

The leadership of the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad has announced achieving in a record time all the goals set by the Joint Operations Command to free the al-Huwayja district, the last stronghold of the terrorist ISIL gangs in northern Iraq, to contribute to ending the myth of terrorist ISIL influence in Iraq

The Squad's fighters have drawn in this epic outstanding images of courage, and were able to teach the terrorist ISIL gangs a blow causing them losses in lives and equipment.

Those heroes, with their fighting experience and war tactics, managed to liberate more than 750 square kilometers, which were used by ISIL as a launching pad to carry out its terrorist operations, in addition to liberating more than 60 villages, killing tens of ISIL members and detonating large numbers of IEDs.

These operations were carried out by the Air Force and in cooperation with the 34th Brigade of the 9th Armored Division of the Iraqi Army.

The Squad's Command has confirmed that it is ready to carry out any other fighting duty.
