In pictures: This is how the servants of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) have commemorated the seventh day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) are accustomed to the commemoration of the seventh day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to spread the feelings of sadness and grief, as certainly the martyrdom of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is a continuous kindled fire in the hearts of the believers until eternity, which will never extinguish, until his revenge will be taken by Imam Al-Mahdi; al-Hujjah son of al-Hassan (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

Thus, in this day of seventeenth of the holy month of Muharram (the seventh after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn, peace be upon him), the servants of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has renewed their condolences to the Master of the Order and the Time (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) for this sad anniversary, remembering that on the seventh day after the martyrdom of the Master, nobody was there to lit a candle on his grave, and here are his servants after all these years setting solace for him.

The procession was launched from the holy shrine of the standard bearer of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); the moon of Bani Hashem Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) heading towards the shrine of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him) to present the condolences for this tragic event, holding candles to remind that on the seventh day after his martyrdom, nobody was there for lighting candles on the holy grave of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

Within the procession, many poems and condolences words to Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) were chanted, expressing the loyalty and love of the servants of the two holy shrines to Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and to adhere to the approach drawn by Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) by his pure blood, which is an extension of the approach of his grandfather the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household). Then a mourning Majlis (latm) was held in the holy sanctuary.

It is noteworthy that the impact of the great at-Taf tragedy is great for all souls of the free people, and that the commemoration of its anniversary is closely linked to the hearts of the lovers of Aba Abdillah al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). Therefore everyone is psychologically, physically, mentally and emotionally prepared for the revival of these rituals in which the feelings and emotions are translated into actual practice.

The rituals begins with the entry of the symbolic caravan (Hawdaj/ Hawdah) of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to Karbala on the second day of the holy month of Muharram, recalling all the events of that day. And continues until the peak day; the tenth (Ashura) in which all efforts are intensified from the night of the ninth to the last hours of the night. Then the preparations follow for the thirteenth of the month, which is called the "Third of the Imam" commemorating the burial of the holy bodies, followed by the seventeenth of the month, called "Seventh of the Imam", in which the processions head to renew their condolences on this sad day.
