The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad is making progress in the liberation operations of western Anbar (al-Qaim and Rawah) and achieving the goals set for it.

Inspired by the sacrifices of the Standard-Bearer of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad is making clear and significant progress during the liberation operations of western Anbar (al-Qaim and Rawah), where the heroes of the Squad managed, since the first day, to control of vast parts of the territory, up to more than 100 km2, after violent clashes against armed members of ISIL, causing them great losses in equipment and lives. And the factory 90 for the production of phosphates were liberated, and the engineering regiment was able to dismantle dozens of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and open roads to the fighting forces, in addition to treating a car bomb.

The command of the Squad confirmed that its operations are continuing in this axis to liberate the rest of the targets set against the terrorist ISIL gangs, and a plan has been devised to preserve the lives of the citizens and transfer them to safe places.

It is noteworthy that the mobilization of the forces of the al-Abbas's (p) fighting squad in this battle is the largest of its kind after the battle to liberate the village of al-Bashir in 2016, and will be the end of the series of battles fought by the Squad over three years and four months.
