The service Hussayni processions in the province of Basra: Stations of generosity.

The province of Basra was always generous by offering its sons to fight for the sake of the freedom and to defend the soil of Iraq and its sanctities. And today, it provides the best services to the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), as its citizens translated their love to the Master of the free (peace be upon him) by diversifying their services to the visitors heading towards his shrine, trying by all its forms seeking the honor of this service. And what we can see in the picture shows only a small part of the reality of the services that filled the streets and alleys.

Through the testimony of the witnesses, those in charge of the processions are competing with each other in a clear spontaneity showing the extent of their love to Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and their honor of serving his visitors. Thus, we see the arts of the service the volunteers provide with great sense of generosity, loyalty, dedication, love, obedience and humiliation. Competing to win the service prize, as if the visitor is the one offering them service by coming to them.

It is to note that the province of Basra is the first starting point for the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) for the Ziyarat Arba'een in Iraq, with a wide participation of the mourners from inside and outside of Iraq and other neighboring countries. And during this march, the people of Basra rush as they do every year, to provide the service each according to his region, which continues to reach the peak on the sixth and seventh of the month of Safar. The Hussayni processions and tents are spread inside and outside the province and all its roads. And this year, the preparations began early to provide service to the convoys of the Hussayni love and the people of the province are competing to win this honor they had been waiting for, for a full season.
