With a pioneering and quality experience: The al-Kafeel Center for Information and Statistical Studies launches the project "Clinic of Thought".

For the first time and in a unique experience, the al-Kafeel Center for Information and Statistical Studies of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has launched the project "Clinic of Thought", in conjunction with the influx of millions of visitors flocking to Karbala on the occasion of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

"Clinic thought" is a qualitative project that includes a survey of a sample of visitors about their cultural sources, their intellectual directions and how much their opinions and views are influenced by the media and social networks.

In a statement to the al-Kafeel Global Network, the official of the al-Kafeel Center of information and statistical studies, Mr. Jassam Mohamad al-Saidi, he stated: "This project is one of the quality projects adopted by our Center, a pioneering and new idea that includes the views of the public through a questionnaire prepared for this purpose by our staff from the specialists in psychology, by including in the questionnaire a set of questions that explain to us through the answers of the public; their public opinion and their intellectual and cultural tendencies."

Mr. al-Saidi stressed that: "This project will benefit the decisions makers and the specialists in the field of culture and thought, so they can take into account these considerations; the ways of thinking of members of the community and their awareness under the influences of media and culture, positive or negative, from books and e-books to satellite channels and social networking. It allows them also to find solutions by taking advantage of these results of this clinic of thought."

For his part, the official of the Clinic of Thought; Mr. Karrar Sahib al-Kinani, explained that: "The project is in form of two clinics, one is installed in front of the gate of Sahib Zaman (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) and the second in front of the street of Imam Ali peace be upon him), in which work an examiner, psychologist and therapist, all of whom adopt a scientific questionnaire that allows them to diagnose the cultural or intellectual errors of the identified sample, especially what form their consciousness and crystallize their concepts."

Adding: "The idea of the clinic does not stand at the diagnostic of the wrong intellectual case of the diagnosed person, but rather goes to provide a psychological treatment by defining the level of his influence by the cultural and intellectual sources that put the poison into the honey."

Indicating: "These questionnaires will allow us to know the trends of the Iraqi individuals and the level of their ideological influence by some satellite channels, television programs, websites and social networking programs, and then to raise the awareness about the re-evaluation of the intellectual interests."
