Stations from the road to paradise: al-Diwaniyah is still receiving the masses of visitors, and its people are continuing serving them.

Despite the apparent fatigue and the dust storms and rain, you see light in their foreheads, determination to strengthen the weakness of their bodies, and love pushing them towards the haven of the righteous and the Qibla of the free men.

This is the description of those commemorating the ritual of Arba'een, walking on foot between those just arriving to Diwaniyah and those who are leaving it towards the holy Karbala.

Diwaniya city is located 180 km south Baghdad, and is a gate for the visitors heading to Karbala through the city of Hilla or Najaf.

And every year, it receives millions of visitors coming from the provinces of the South and from the neighboring countries, and then they separate as some of them go first to Najaf while others head directly to Karbala to perform the rituals of Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). This province that still receives the visitors’ convoys amid an intensive presence of the Hussayni service processions that provided, like the rest of the processions in the other provinces, all that may ease the visitors' burden, from food, drinks, medical services. As well as the houses that opened its doors for the visitors.

These are the visitors of Aba Abdillah al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), walking towards the divine goal. And Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) said in his supplication for the visitors of his grandfather: "Have mercy upon the faces whose colors have turned pale due to the sun, and have mercy upon the heads that circumambulate the grave of Abu Abdullah al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). Have mercy upon the eyes that shed tears upon our sorrows, and upon the hearts that are disturbed and pained for us, and also upon the wailing for us."
