Scenes from the road to paradise: Haidar and 'Aqeel have lost their sight and their love is guiding them on the road to al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

Haidar and 'Aqeel have seen al-Hussayn with their hearts, where they found al-Hussayn the light that enlightens their path. They are blind and unable to see the loved ones but they have the insight to love the Master of love.

Haidar and 'Aqeel are from the people of al-Faw, they are friends who are determined every year to come walk to Karbala to commemorate the rituals of Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), remembering Jaber Ibn Abdillah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) has lost his sight and was the first one who performed the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the blind persons follow his example and are walking on the same path waiting for the reappearance of their Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

Haidar is forty years old and 'Aqeel is 35 years old, together they use a secondary road towards Karbala so they do not disturb other visitors with their slow pace.

Haidar and 'Aqeel walk without any guide, this is the truth, but we forget that they are believers, followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), who are the absolute beacon that enlightens the path of he who loves them. They cannot be without a guide as they are the guests of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and the arms of Aba al-Fadl (peace be upon him) is embracing them.

Words are unable to describe your act! Peace be upon your hearts and upon your insight, and may Allah grant you peace until you arrive to the land of peace; Karbala, and return to your homes in peace and serenity.
