The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad participates with three thousand fighters to protect the visitors of Arba'een.

As is the case in every Ziyarat season, the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad participated in the security plan of the Ziyarat Arba'een in addition to provide various services, by 3000 fighters deployed at the entrances of Karbala.

Participating in this plan came after the Squad's victory over the terrorist ISIL gangs and the liberation of al-Qa'im, in coordination with the operations leadership of the Middle Euphrates and the leadership of Karbala police. Is fighters were deployed at the three main entrances of Karbala (Karbala- Babylon), (Karbala - Baghdad) (Karbala - Najaf), as well as a number of civilian-uniformed fighters were deployed among visitors to monitor suspicious movements and intervene for any emergency.

It has also participated in the service side of the plan through opening medical detachments and providing assistance and guidance to visitors. These forces include a group of graduates in the training center opened by the leadership of the Squad in all provinces of Iraq in accordance with the directives of the religious authority in Najaf when it called for the need to prepare and raise the readiness of the people from various backgrounds to ward off the dangers that may surround the country, and were as a back-up force for the squad.
