The Media of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; an Iraqi media icon in the Arba'een.

The press and media pens operating under the umbrella of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, have been writing with the aim of conveying the true image of the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) harnessing all its means, to shed the light on this Ziyarat, which all media institutions combined are not able to cover all its contents.

The Department of intellectual and cultural affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has harnessed all its media channels for this purpose, and prepared a plan for it. This was the important point stated by the deputy head of the department; Sayed 'Aqeel Abd al-Hussayn al-Yassiri stating: "The publications and pamphlets varied from those guiding the visitors while performing the Ziyarat Arba'een, and all that is related to this ritual. As for the reports and editing of news and historical and religious texts (printed and electronic version) came with a high professionalism and credibility indicating the attention given by the holy shrines to the media role, as it represents the civil power.

He added: "With regard to the image, which was taken by the cameras of al-Kafeel Center for artistic production by its professional cadres, as well as the visual side and its importance and effort to broadcast live the atmosphere of the Ziyarat and providing them without a logo for the interested TV channels in high quality from the farthest point of the launch of the Arba'een march."

Al-Yasiri continued: "In the audio field, al-Kafeel women radio has an eminent role to cover the Ziyarat, with a Hussayni spirit, its staff work hard for the coverage of the importance and impact of this Ziyarat."

Indicating: "The activities of the department are not only limited to the media side, but there are other cultural and intellectual activities held by all the divisions of the department, all focusing on the Ziyarat."

In conclusion, he pointed out: "The media of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine treated professionally with the events of the Ziyarat, which is an evidence that its cadres work with one unified goal; serving the name of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."
