The Supreme Religious Authority: The good citizenship requires that we resort to the method of understanding and dialogue to solve problems and conflicts.

In continuation of its sermons about the principles of the good citizen, the Supreme Religious Authority has stated in the second sermon of Friday prayer by its representative His Eminence Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi al-Karbala'i additional principles such as the fact that the good citizenship requires that we resort to the method of understanding and dialogue to solve problems and conflicts. Stating:

"Resolving problems and disputes with others through peaceful means and through dialogue and understanding, no matter how long it takes, this dialogue has great importance in finding a solution to this problem:

The good citizen is the one who steers away from the violence, aggression and transgression against others in case of conflict, a difference of a certain problem. Brethren, if there is a problem between me and someone else, I have to adopt various methods, starting by the dialogue and talking to each other to try to understand each other opinion, if this does not work, I ask those who have an influential social position to interfere in an attempt to solve the problem, otherwise I resort to legal methods.

Unfortunately, in many cases, for simple and trivial matters, the individual resort to the use of violence and attacks on others.

Therefore, we have to stick to this principle (The principle of good citizenship) first in our homes, within the family, in the market, the road, the school, the department and in the public place, whether this difference and conflict is between two persons or two social entities.

As, sometimes there are disputes between the tribes, as many citizens in some provinces complain about these kind of disputes, when because of a piece of land belonging to the tribe's sheikh, four people are killed. Does this make sense?! Is this a principle of Islam?! Islam is far from these methods."
