The fighters of the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad conclude their first day of the desert of Jazeera Kubra operations by clearing 45 kilometers long and extending their control of the airport (Jinif).

The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad announced that its fighters had ended their first day of the liberation battles to liberate Jazeera Kubra by clearing 45 kilometers long and were able to extend their control over the airport Jinif south of Hadhar in the province of Mosul to prepare the first landing and take-off from its runways for the Air Force.

The Squad added that its engineering effort has enabled the detonation of several bombs and mines, and clearing tens of kilometers of paved and secondary roads taken by the units.
