Al-'Ameed University receives its students for the new academic year and its president asserts that is will be a scientific model and a great edifice of science and knowledge.

After completing the registration procedures, and all the equipment and supplies to start the study, the al-'Ameed University of the Education and Higher Education Body at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has received on Saturday 6th of Rabi' Awwal 1439 AH corresponding to the November 25, 2017, its newly admitted students for the current academic year 2017 - 2018 in its Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing faculties.

The President of the University; Prof. Dr. Jassim al-Marzougui has welcomed in his speech the students highlighting a set of educational commitments of students, including assiduity on studies and adhere to the instructions issued to achieve success, which is one of the keys to improving the educational process in Iraq."

Stressing that: "The University aspires to the advancement of university education through many of the scientific principles and conditions that were adopted and provided in all its faculties to be a scientific model and a great edifice of science and knowledge."

After the welcoming speech, the students went to their classrooms, to meet their professors, who get to know them and give them an explanation of some of the initial information about each college in a clear way about their studies and the scientific curricula as well as the theoretical and practical subjects they will deal with during their studies.

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine will held on next Wednesday evening a big celebration in the central University Square to inaugurate this great scientific edifice.

It is to note that the al-'Ameed University is an educational scientific institution affiliated to the Education and High Education Body at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, established to be a scientific edifice comparable to the prominent universities, by adopting international standards that qualify it to enter the accredited academic classifications.
