The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine rehabilitates a school in the province of Karbala to provide an advanced learning environment.

Karbala province, like the rest of the Iraqi provinces, is suffering from a shortage of school buildings, in addition to the need for rehabilitation and maintenance; such as al-Bayan school within the Karbala Education Directorate located in the area of Freyha. And after receiving the call of the people of that area by the Secretariat General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, it formed immediately a specialized technical committee of the Engineering Maintenance Department in order to assess the damage of this school and to start its rehabilitation work and contribute to providing an advanced educational environment.

The supervisor of the rehabilitation work of the school, the assistant head of engineering maintenance at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Samir Abbas Ali, explained about these works the following:

After conducting a field examination of the school and the damage assessment we have submitted a disclosure to the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which provided all the maintenance and rehabilitation means, which included the rehabilitation of the school's infrastructure, the painting of the walls, the maintenance of electrical, water and sanitary installation, covering the roofs with an isolating material and fixing the secondary ceilings of the classrooms using good quality white tiles, and also fixing some wooden doors and replacing on of them."

The people of the region and the education team and after they saw the Bayan school in its new image, they thanked and praised the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for their efforts to restore the spirit to this school, as well as the speed of response and its diligence of the work and the quality of materials introduced in the maintenance works.
