The third annual book fair, which was held this year under the slogan "I graduated but will remain faithful to my book", was opened on Tuesday 23rd of Rabi' Awwal 1439 AH corresponding to December 12, 2017 in the Engineering Faculty with the participation of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in addition to the holy shrines of Imam Ali, of Imam al-Hussayn and of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-'Askari (peace be upon them) and a number of colleges and publishing houses.
The exhibition, which was held under the patronage of the President of al-Mustansiriyah University; Prof. Dr. Sadeq al-Hammash, witnessed a distinguished presence of the pavilion of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which was varied in its intellectual and cultural productions of great scientific interest, as the publications of the holy shrine varied between books and valuable publications that were represented by exhibitions' unit at the Thought and Creativity Division of the Department of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs.
In turn, the president of al-Mustansiriyah University; Prof. Dr. Sadeq al-Hammash, after cutting the opening ribbon, toured the pavilions of the exhibition and praised the role of the holy shrines, especially the pavilion of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which has a special impact among the academics and students visiting the exhibition. Dr. al-Hammash explained to al-Kafeel Network: "These days are days of joy and pride for all of us, as with the fatwa of our religious authority, the courage of our army and popular mobilization, the unity of our people and the wisdom of our leadership, which led us all to victory and pride, to be the first country to uproot and purify the land from these criminal ISIL gangs."
Adding: "These intellectual and cultural activities are only a little overflow in order to strengthen the academic process in the country, which is a source of joy in our hearts because it is in the service of our professors and students, which will lead the country to the ranks of developed countries with what it possesses from the sense of creativity and development."
