The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad cleans up the latest terrorist strongholds in the Mteibeeja area and completes securing around the city of Samarra and the Holy shrine of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-'Askari (peace be upon both of them).

The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad announced the end of its duty in the operations of clearing and inspection of the Mteibeeja area and the surrounding areas on an area of 160 km2.

The fighters of the Squad managed, with determination and power, to clear the last strongholds of the terrorist ISIL gangs in this rough area, and the squad units managed to liberate a group of villages and destroy a tunnel of terrorists after they penetrated into the heart of the region and its engineering effort unit exerted great efforts to ease the rough road to the military units.

On the other hand, and according to the directives of the joint operations command, the squad decided to maintain an armored force and the al-'Alqami brigade in the city of Samarra to preserve the gains of victory.
