The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine begins to build a scientific complex in Najaf province and confirms that it will be typical and emulates its peers locally and internationally.

As part of its series of educational projects aimed at improving the educational reality in Iraq, and in line with the world's development in this area, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has started to build a scientific complex in the Najaf governorate, which includes a number of scientific and humanitarian colleges according to plan it developed. The scientific edifice is the product of a seed developed by the holy shrine in the province of Najaf, which is the College of Jami'a al-Kafeel, which has acquired a distinguished scientific reputation for a short period of time due to its keenness to provide a suitable environment for success and programs prepared according to the standards of international accreditation institutions. And the selection of the best teaching staff to work in an integrated environment of services and the increase in the number of students admitted and desire to study in their departments, and because the building is small and cannot accommodate this number of students, with this effort and great success, the Department of Education and Higher in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine decided to move to another step, To transform the college into a university and this requires horizontal expansion in the preparation of departments and disciplines and another vertical expansion in the preparation of colleges and buildings.

Head of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the supervisor and designer body of this project, Eng. Dea' Majeed al-Sa'egh, stated to al-Kafeel Network in a tour on the project site: "The project is implemented on an area of more than 8000 square meters, designed by al-Kafeel Center for Studies and Research of our Department, which came after holding several meetings with the beneficiaries of this project, namely the Department of Education and Higher Education and the College of Jami'at al-Kafeel, through which we briefed on what they need of buildings for colleges and service and administrative sections, and after the approval of the relevant authorities, we initiated the project implementing its designs on the ground after its execution by the Lewa' International company of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine according to a time plan set by the General Secretariat of the holy shrine requiring the construction of two colleges that will be opened next academic year with the university's deanship, its offices, infrastructure, roads and gardens, while the rest of the colleges will be completed successively. "

And he added that the work is underway in the two colleges, each of which is about 1700 square meters, with four floors divided into classrooms, laboratories and administrative offices, taking into consideration the design plans, modernity, efficiency of construction materials and methods, starting from the foundation stage and ending with finishing. And the work that is currently underway in one of the faculties building has reached the third floor of the structure of the concrete, the other building in the foundation stage and in parallel with these works there are works to build the outer fence of the complex as a whole in addition to roads and other works.

The head of the Department of Education and Higher Education at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Dr. Abbas al-Dadah stressed that this scientific edifice will be of a great interest and will emulate its local and international peers in terms of educational programs or in terms of construction and facilities, as it is working according to the best international standards and compete with the most quality universities in the production of research and the ability to polarize minds and the academic and research talents. He added: "This scientific complex is conducted within the plan of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as after the completion of the stages of construction of educational institutions, now began to nurture those educational institutions, as one of the most important requirements of the nurturing mechanism is the establishment of infrastructure worthy of scientific reputation reached by those institutions."

Noting that "the Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine made great effort to convert the College of Jami'a al-Kafeel to a university like the important Iraqi universities, and one of the requirements for conversion to the university is the change of the administrative and scientific structures in the college instead of having a group of sections that become colleges. And we are now on the site on which those colleges will be built, and which will be part of the university."
