The Supreme Religious Authority: The victory over ISIL does not represent the end of the battle with terrorism and terrorists and the fight against terrorism must be carried out by addressing its intellectual and religious roots and drying up its human, financial and media sources.

The Supreme Religious Authority warned in the last sermon against complacency in the effort to eradicate terrorism, especially hidden terrorist elements and sleeping cells, which are waiting for opportunities, stressing on uprooting the extremist ideology because of its danger to civilians, as the extremist ideas do not believe in the peaceful coexistence and the respect of others' opinions, which contributed to the emergence of other terrorist gangs.

The supreme religious authority regarded this victory as the it is the most important historical step towards writing history, but it does not represent the true end of the battle against terrorism, since the misinformation of the though and those who are behind it target the religion and the Islamic society.

The sermon of victory included important commandments that must be followed to create a safe environment, such as:

“victory over ISIL [Da'esh] does not mean the end of the battle with terrorism and terrorists, but this battle will continue as long as there are people who have been misled by extremist ideology, which does not accept peaceful coexistence with others who disagree with it in opinion and belief, and does not hesitate to kill innocent civilians, to captivate children and women and to destroy the country to reach its malicious targets, so beware of indolence in dealing with this constant threat and condone the hidden terrorist elements and sleeping cells that lay opportunities to undermine the security and stability of the country.

The fight against terrorism must be carried out by addressing its intellectual and religious roots and drying up its human, financial and media sources, which required working according to well-planned professional plans to achieve the required results and the security and intelligence work, and although it is the basis for fighting terrorism, but it is essential that this be accompanied by the awareness work to expose the falsity and deviation of the terrorist ideology from the true Islamic religious path, in parallel with the publication and promotion of the discourse of moderation and tolerance in societies that can fall under the influence of this deviant ideology. In addition to the necessity to work on improving the life conditions in the liberated areas and its reconstruction and enable its displaced people to return to it with pride and dignity, ensuring that their constitutional rights are not diminished and that the previous mistakes in dealing with them are avoided.”
