The Institute of the Holy Quran, Branch of Babylon concludes its Quranic projects for the year 2017 and reviews the most prominent of them.

The Institute of the Holy Quran - Babel Branch - Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p holy shrine concluded its Qur'anic projects of the year 2017, through organizing a ceremony held on Saturday, 18th Rabi' Thani 1439 AH corresponding to January 6, 2018.

The ceremony, which was held at the Islamic University Conference Hall, witnessed a large presence of representatives of the holy shrines, religious and academic figures from inside and outside Babil province, as well as a large group of students from the Institute's branch, in addition to a high level delegation representing the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine headed by the member of its Board of directors; Sayed Adnan al-Musawi.

After the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and reading al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and its security forces, there was a word of the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs, delivered by Acting Director of the Heritage Center of Hilla, Sheikh Sadeq Al-Khuwailidi, in which he said:

"The Holy Quran gives guidance to the best, and it includes miracles and uncounted scientific characteristics, the interpreters discovered previously some of them, and there is much that has not been discovered yet and will be discovered by the interpreters later, and these Quranic projects are but one of the methods and mechanisms through which we contribute to finding some of these characteristics.”

Then came the speech of the director of the institute of the Holy Quran, the branch of Babylon, Sayed. Montadhir Salim al-Mashaykhi, in which he said: "On this blessed day, the anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi army, thanks to which and thanks to the forces of the popular mobilization today we stand gathered in this blessed forum. Today, by the blessings of the Master of generosity and tenderness; Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, represented by its Institute of the Holy Quran in Babylon, held the final ceremony of the projects of the Institute carried out in 2017."

He added: "The plan last year included several branches including: Quranic courses throughout the province of Babylon, a session in the rules of recitation and Tajweed, as well as courses in the Hifdh [or Hifz means memorization] of the holy book within the plan prepared by the holy shrine with the participation of more than fifty students from this province, including the students in memorization of Quran from [juz'] Part V to [juz'] Part Twenty-one. The plan also included the project of the Qur'anic bag or the integrated study project which is a course that included lessons in the interpretation of the Book of Allah and the rules of its recitation in the sciences of the holy Quran, as well as lessons of Arab language."

Concluding: "Today, in conjunction with the conclusion of this blessed ceremony a group of students of these blessed courses will graduate and the year 2018 will also be complementary to the previous year and we will do our best to continue the march of the Quran according to the Quranic approach planned by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine."

During the ceremony, a documentary film was presented showing the achievements and courses held by the Institute during the past year, as well as a collective recitation of the Institute's students. The forum ends with reading verses from the Holy Quran and distributing appreciation certificates to the participants in the Quranic ceremony.
