A quantum leap achieved by the al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital by conducting more than successful 170 cardiovascular surgery and 1000 eye surgeries.

Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced the success of more than 170 open heart and the replacement of arteries surgeries since the opening of the hospital, and these operations are one of the most complex and accurate operations, most of which were previously conducted outside Iraq costing large sums of money to the Iraqi patient in addition to the fact that their success is not guaranteed.

On the other hand, the hospital's medical staff managed to conduct more than 1,000 successful eye surgery operations, which is a quantum leap in this field.

The hospital confirmed that the Iraqi medical staff was an important factor in the success of these operations, and some of them were carried out by the Iraqi staff without the help of the staff from outside Iraq.

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish Medical Colors Group - one of the groups that were brought by the al-Kafeel hospital to conduct these operations - has held a celebration of this occasion, which was considered a global achievement, where the director of the group (Nori Polo) said that the group celebrated today a medical achievement of our team on cardiovascular surgery which is headed by the Turkish doctor Bashir Akbanar conducted one hundred open heart surgery and more than seventy operations to replace the arteries, all crowned with success and did not record any case of failure, stressing that the Iraqi medical and nursing staff was a partner with us with our success and achievement with Iraqi citizens and we are proud of that.
